LASU Admission Requirements

Below are the requirements to apply for the Lagos State University;

  1. Applying student must be 16 years of age or above
  2. Applying student must select the Lagos State University (LASU) as the first choice of institution during the JAMB 2024 registration
  3. The student must have a JAMB score of 195 or above in the JAMB 2024 exam
  4. All applying students must have at least five (5) credit passes in their Oโ€™level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) result in not more than two sittings.
  5. Interested students are allowed to make nna change of institution from their previously chosen school to that of LASU in the JAMB Change of Institution Portal
  6. All D.E applicants are advised to go to the nearest JAMB CBT centre and register through there.
  7. It is compulsory for all applicants to meet the above requirements.

  • Then Find out your total score: The sum of your O’level and UTME points will be your aggregate score.

Let’s go practical now. Suppose you scored 290 on the JAMB and received four As and one B2 in your five required subjects. Your total LASU aggregate score will be;

  • Your UTME Point: 290/8 = 36.25%
  • Your Oโ€™level Point: 4As = 40, B2 = 9, total = 49%
  • Your LASU Aggregate score: 36.25% + 49% = 85.25%

      Please my son had 223 In JAMB and his aggregate score to Study Computer Science in LASU is 69.88. As a non-indigene, did he stand a chance to be given Admission.

    1. Sylvia, it’s not possible to have an aggregate of 83.25% with that jamb score even if you got the complete 50% in your O level. 226รท8=28.25%, let’s assume you got 50 in your O levels, 28.25+50=78.25%

    1. My sister’s aggregate is 69% and wants to study law, I’m not sure that would be enough so I’m thinking of going for history and international relations. Is that a rihht choice or we should stick with law?
