NNPC/Chevron Scholarship Scheme 2024/2025 is a scholarship sponsored and funded by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in collaboration with Chevron Nigeria Limited. It is targeted at students who major in engineering mostly and likewise other professional courses.
It is open to all undergraduate students of the Nigerian Universities, irrespective of their level provided that the universities attended by the applying students are that of the federal government of Nigeria and are accredited by the regulating bodies of the medical and health practice.
Applying students are expected to show a high level of interest in their respective pursuits and also be strongly interested in the application technology and the practice for the sustainable growth and development of the Nigerian Nation.
Aim of The NNPC/Chevron Scholarship
The sole aim of the scholarship is to stimulate and re-ignite the zeal and interest of students in engineering and most especially petrochemical engineering.
In addition, the degrading man power in the engineering and industrial sector due to relocation of most top engineers is one of the main purpose of this scholarship.
For the benefit of giving back to the society, the NNPC/Chevron Scholarship Scheme aims to motivate a new generation of Nigerian engineers and scientists to acquire relevant knowledge that will find application in the sustainable growth and development of the Nigerian Nation through the scholarship offer.
What Are the Requirements and What Makes One Eligible for the Scholarship?
- The applying student must be a Nigerian by Nationality
- Student must be a student in one of the federal government universities in Nigeria.
- Applying students from private owned varsities are not eligible.
- Applicants or Applying Students must be studying one of the following courses:
- Accountancy
- Agricultural Engineering
- Architecture
- Business Administration
- Computer Science
- Civil Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Law
- Mass Communication
- Medicine and Surgery
- Pharmacy
- Dentistry and Dental Surgery
- Radiography
- Medical Laboratory Science and other related medical courses
- Applicants must be a potential 100 Level undergraduate student; that is to say that an applying student must be a fresh student in the varsity, or a 200 Level Student; meaning a student in his or her second year in the university.
- Applying Students must not be a beneficiary of similar or any other scholarship.
- Applying Students must have attained a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a scale of 5.0, 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 and 6.0 on a scale of 7.0.
Selection Criteria
The NNPC/Chevron Scholarship Scheme selection criteria is strictly base on need and merit as the selection team of the foundation pleases, following some laid down merit and need guidelines.

- Upload a passport photograph of yourself, with a white or red background.

- An email message and SMS message will be received confirmation application success.
- Return back to www.scholastica.ng, to download your profile verification form, and then proceed to the office of the head of your department for stamp and signature.
- Then upload the scanned copy of the signed and stamped profile verification letter, which will now be used for verification.
