The Pan African University Scholarship is an initiative sponsored and fully funded by the Heads of State and Government of the African Union. It is not a university, but a premier continental university that helps in networking.

Requirements For Applying for the Pan African University Postgraduate Scholarship 2024/2025

The requirements needed for application varies depending on the whether you are applying for Master Degree (MSc) or a Postgraduate Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.)

PAU Scholarship Requirements for MSc

• Applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) division in their first degree or a Second Class Lower (2.2) coupled with other relevant industry training and experience.
• Applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC) with extends for a period of 1 year irrespective of the course of study.
• Applicants must possess the ability to use computer system for some basic works (must be computer literate)
• Applicants must possess 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Applicants must draft a statement of purpose, as concise as possible (maximum of 500 words) stating the reason(s) for the proposed study, its relevance and viability to the industry and its expected impact on national development and growth.
• Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and will be required to have verified it (NIMC verification charges apply) before applying for the scholarship.
• Applicants must be maximum of 30 years of age for males and 35 years of age for Females.

PAU Scholarship Requirements for Ph.D.

• Applicants must have undergone the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC) which extends for a period of 1 year.
• Applicants must be familiar with the use of computer system for some basic stuff (must be a computer literate)
• Applicants must possess 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Applicants must have attain a minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) division in their first degree and a good post-graduate degree result.
• Applicants must have a research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry (of not more than five pages) to include: Topic, introduction, objective, methodology and mode of data collection.
• All lecturing applicants must provide a letter from their Vice Chancellors of their respective institution confirming that they are not in receipt of any other scholarships.
• Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and will be required to have verified it (NIMC verification charges apply) before applying for the scholarship.
